Job summary

Major Food Group is seeking an experienced Line Cook in Boston to help set and maintain the highest standards of cuisine and professionalism.

Responsibilities include setting up and stocking stations, preparing ingredients, cooking menu items with the kitchen team, and ensuring timely, high-quality plates. Requirements: at least 2 years in high-volume or fine dining preferred, culinary diploma preferred, and strong communication and teamwork. Major Food Group is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high-volume or fine-dining restaurants preferred but not required.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
• Team-oriented and positive attitude; strong communication skills a must.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
