Job summary

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business preferred.
• 3+ years electrical industry experience as a manufacturer or distributor.
• 5+ years sales experience in related industry.
• Strong computer skills and excellent communication abilities.
• Ability to travel 25%–50%.

Responsibilities

• Calls on client, management and representatives to promote technical products or services.
• Provides technical services to clients relating to specified products.
• Develops product and application information and demonstrates technology solutions to customers.
• Gathers, analyzes and shares technical information for internal and external customers.
• Pre/post technical sales support for sales teams.
• Leads joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Assists account representatives in identifying new sales opportunities.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency.
• Understands market conditions and industry trends to identify growth areas.
• Promotes products in competitive situations.
• Manages marketing programs and product launches from product lines.
• Maintains relationships with vendor product managers and selling resources.
