Job summary

Wesco seeks a Senior Technical Sales Specialist - Lighting to drive large project closures and lighting product growth. You will provide pre- and post-sales support, deliver technical presentations, and address customer questions to help the sales team win opportunities.

You will collaborate with vendor managers, manage product launches, and stay current on industry trends to identify market expansion across the Houston area.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required.
• 3+ years Electrical industry experience as a manufacturer or distributor.
• 5+ years sales experience in related industry.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel 25% - 50%.

Responsibilities

• Calls on clients and representatives to promote technical products or services.
• Provides technical services to clients related to specified products.
• Develops product and application information from customer needs and solutions.
• Shares technical information with internal and external customers.
• Provides pre/post technical sales support for sales teams.
• Leads joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Assists account reps in identifying new sales opportunities.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency.
• Understands market conditions and growth opportunities.
• Promotes value-added products in competitive situations.
