Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Senior Technical Sales Specialist - Lighting to drive growth in lighting products across the customer base. In this role you will present, demonstrate and support technical solutions, with a focus on large projects and incremental lighting product growth.

You will work closely with the sales team and customers, providing pre- and post-sales support and expert knowledge. You will lead joint sales calls, identify new opportunities and stay current on industry trends.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree - Engineering or Business preferred.
• 3+ years Electrical industry experience as a manufacturer or distributor.
• 5+ year Sales experience in related industry.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel 25% - 50%.

Responsibilities

• Calls on clients and representatives to demonstrate desirability of technical products or services.
• Provides technical services to clients relating to specified products.
• Researches customer needs and develops product and application information, demonstrating technology solutions.
• Shares technical information and solutions with internal and external customers.
• Acts as first line of pre/post technical sales support for sales teams.
• Leads joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Assists account representatives in finding new sales opportunities by guiding others.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency in product areas.
