Job summary

Wesco is seeking a Senior Technical Sales Specialist - Lighting to drive growth in lighting products and support both pre- and post-sales activities. The role is customer-facing, delivering presentations and demonstrations, and collaborating with the Sales team to close large projects.

The position emphasizes technical product knowledge, market awareness, and continued training, with travel up to 50% and a compensation package aligned to industry norms in the United States.

Qualifications

• 3+ years Electrical industry experience as a manufacturer or distributor.
• 5+ year Sales experience in related industry.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Calls on client and representatives to convince them of desirability of technical products or services offered.
• Provides technical services to clients relating to specified products.
• Demonstrates technology solutions and gathers customer needs.
• Gathers, analyzes and shares technical information with customers.
• First line of pre/post technical sales support for sales teams.
• Acts as domain expert internally and externally.
• Leads joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Assists account representatives in finding new sales opportunities.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency.
