Wesco Senior Technical Sales Specialist - Lighting is a customer-facing role driving large lighting projects with technical depth. You will deliver pre- and post-sales support, presentations, and demonstrations to customers and sales teams, enhancing product growth and solutions adoption.

This role requires engineering/business insight, strong communication and a willingness to travel up to 50% to engage on-site with clients and partners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years electrical industry experience in manufacturing or distribution.
• 5+ years sales experience in related industry.
• Strong computer skills and excellent communication; travel 25%–50%.

Responsibilities

• Call on clients and management to demonstrate desirability of technical products or services.
• Provide technical services to clients related to specified products.
• Develop product and application information; demonstrate technology solutions.
• Share technical information and solutions with internal and external customers.
• Provide pre/post technical sales support for sales teams.
• Act as domain expert for specified products internally and externally.
• Lead joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Assist account reps in identifying new sales opportunities.
• Participate in ongoing training to maintain technical competency.
• Understand market conditions and identify growth areas.
• Stay aware of industry trends and developments affecting target markets.
• Promote value-add products in competitive situations.
• Support marketing, promotions, and product launches.
• Maintain relationships with vendor product managers and selling resources.
