Job summary

Wesco in Denver, CO is seeking a Senior Technical Sales Specialist - Lighting to lead the commercial and technical decision-making in complex lighting projects. You will drive growth, present technology solutions, and support sales teams with product demonstrations and expert guidance.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or Equivalent required.
• 3+ years Electrical industry experience as a manufacturer or distributor.
• 5+ year Sales experience in related industry.
• Strong computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to travel 25% - 50%.

Responsibilities

• Calls on clients, management and representatives to promote technical products or services.
• Provides technical services to clients relating to specified products.
• Develops product and application information and demonstrates technology solutions for customers.
• Gathers, analyzes and shares technical information and solutions with internal and external customers.
• Provides pre/post-technical sales support for sales teams.
• Acts as domain expert internally and externally for specified products.
• Leads joint sales calls with customers and prospects.
• Assists account representatives in finding new sales opportunities.
• Participates in ongoing training to maintain technical competency.
• Understands market conditions and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Promotes value-add products in competitive situations.
• Manages marketing, promotions and product launches from product lines.
• Maintains relationships with vendor product managers and selling resources.
