YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Lifeguard to oversee safety in pools and aquatics areas during assigned shifts. You will enforce rules, monitor testing, perform maintenance, and respond to emergencies to protect members and participants.

The role requires current Lifeguard certification (YMCA or Red Cross), BLS/First Aid, and ability to swim tests; strong communication and teamwork are essential. Flexible hours include days, evenings, and weekends.

Qualificações

• Lifeguard certification required (YMCA or Red Cross).
• Current/obtain Lifeguard Supervisor certification before first shift.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers, First Aid and AED certifications required.
• Minimum age 18 years.
• At least 1 year of lifeguard experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Enforce pool rules and safety procedures; monitor activities.
• Perform lifesaving actions and emergency responses within established timeframes.
• Maintain pool and deck cleanliness and routine maintenance tasks.
• Test and record pool chemical levels as required.
• Conduct equipment checks and ensure supplies are available.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings as required.
