Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking an attentive lifeguard leader to maintain safe swimming conditions, supervise lifeguards, and assist the Aquatics Director with administrative duties. You will ensure compliance with YMCA safety standards, conduct tests, and promote a safe, engaging environment for members.

Applicants should have lifeguard experience, current certifications, and the ability to respond quickly to emergencies while maintaining professional, firm, and respectful communication

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• Minimum of one season of lifeguard experience.
• Current YMCA Lifeguard or Red Cross Lifeguard certification; obtain YMCA Lifeguard certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Know and enforce emergency procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain safety rules and testing procedures for pool areas.
• Perform pool maintenance and cleaning; test and record pool chemicals.
