Qualifications

• Strong communication and stakeholder management with reinsurers and vendors.
• Ability to coach underwriters to adopt digital tools and workflows.
• Commitment to ethics, regulatory compliance and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert judgment on highly complex cases, ensuring guideline consistency.
• Oversee complex adjudication during peak volumes, promoting analytics usage.
• Lead and develop a team of underwriters, set priorities and ensure SLAs.
• Leverage analytics dashboards to monitor mortality, placement and cycles.
• Pilot and validate new underwriting technologies and vendor solutions.
• Coach underwriters in analytical thinking and digital tools.
• Negotiate appeals using professional judgment and company guidelines.
