Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of life underwriting experience including medical and financial underwriting.
• Strong understanding of life products, guidelines, and risk selection.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and detail‑oriented skills.
• Ability to interpret complex medical/financial information and assess risk.

Responsibilities

• Conduct post issue audits and monitoring of new underwriting initiatives to assess technical accuracy and guideline adherence.
• Review underwriting decisions for medical, financial, and operational soundness.
• Identify material errors, trends, and themes in audit results and prepare reports for management.
• Collaborate with Underwriting Management and Risk Management to develop and monitor CAPs.
• Support enhancement of the Underwriting Risk Control Framework, including KRIs and governance standards.
• Translate audit findings into training with Training & Development.
• Provide input into innovation initiatives by testing tools and rules engines.
• Assist with design and execution of Targeted audits for Underwriting Innovation initiatives.
• Ensure audit documentation is complete and suitable for internal/regulatory review.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit frameworks, metrics, and reporting.
