Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Typically six years of relevant experience, preferably in claim handling.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire.
• Professional designations preferred (e.g. CPCU).

Responsibilities

• Manage an inventory of highly complex commercial claims with large exposures.
• Provide exceptional customer service and updates to insureds, claimants, and partners.
• Verify coverage and reserves; interpret policy language.
• Lead focused investigations to determine compensability and damages.
• Develop and execute a claim resolution strategy with partners and counsel.
• Establish and manage claim budgets.
• Identify subrogation, salvage, or fraud opportunities.
• Maintain quality standards and timely documentation.
• Prepare succinct case summaries for senior management.
• Keep current on regulatory requirements; mentoring and training as needed.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
