Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically a minimum six years of relevant experience, preferably in claim handling.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire where applicable.
• Prior negotiation experience and CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of highly complex commercial claims with large exposures, following protocols to verify coverage and authorize disbursements.
• Provides exceptional customer service by managing all aspects of the claim and communicating with insureds, claimants, and partners.
• Verifies coverage and establishes reserves by interpreting policy language and working with coverage counsel.
• Leads focused investigations to determine compensability and damages by gathering information and interviewing involved parties.
• Resolves claims by developing and executing a resolution strategy, including reserves management, settlements, and coordinating with counsel.
• Establishes and manages claim budgets, resource allocation, and timely service delivery.
• Addresses subrogation, salvage opportunities, or potential fraud through referrals to appropriate resources.
• Keeps senior management informed with loss summaries and case updates.
