Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically six years of relevant experience, preferably in claim handling.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire where applicable.
• Prior negotiation experience.
• Professional designations preferred (e.g. CPCU).

Responsibilities

• Manages a complex commercial claims inventory with high exposure.
• Verifies coverage, conducts investigations, and authorizes disbursements.
• Interacts with insureds, claimants and partners with timely updates.
• Leads investigations to determine compensability and damages.
• Negotiates complex settlements and coordinates with counsel on litigation.
• Maintains budgets and resources to ensure timely resolutions.
• Addresses subrogation, salvage opportunities and potential fraud.
• Mentors and guides less experienced Claim Professionals.
