• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Typically a minimum six years of relevant experience in claim handling.
• Must have or be able to obtain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days.
• Professional designations such as CPCU are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of highly complex commercial claims with large exposures per company protocols.
• Ensures exceptional customer service by updating insureds and stakeholders promptly.
• Verifies coverage, reserves and negotiates complex settlements.
• Leads investigations to determine compensability and liability.
• Develops and executes claim resolution strategies with appropriate approvals.
• Manages claim budgets and resources for timely resolution.
• Addresses subrogation, salvage opportunities or potential fraud.
• Maintains compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Mentors and trains less experienced claim professionals.
