Job summary

AMSURG is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead multiple enterprise IT projects within the AMSURG IT Department. You will manage executive stakeholders, coordinate project teams, and drive projects through discovery, strategy, planning, execution, transition, and closeout.

You will build relationships with vendors and departments, define scope and success metrics with senior management, document as-is and to-be processes, and deliver plans and progress reports.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years project management experience in an enterprise environment.
  • 0-2 years of prior experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University
  • PMI Project Management Professional Certification or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines using analytical and problem-solving capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Manage one or more Information Technology-driven projects within the AMSURG IT Department
  • Manage executive stakeholders and key project teams
  • Drive projects through discovery, strategy, planning, execution, transition, and closeout
  • Initiate, coordinate, and complete multiple parallel projects across business areas and departments
  • Build and maintain relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and customer satisfaction efforts
  • Define project scope, objectives, success metrics, and project success criteria with senior management
  • Document current-state and target-state processes and environments
  • Develop and present project plans and communications documents
  • Manage, monitor, and track project progress
  • Estimate and allocate project resources and participants
  • Assign responsibilities and summarize progress
  • Identify, resolve, and escalated project issues and conflicts
  • Manage project dependencies, critical paths, scope changes, change control, and contingency plans
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements, and presentations
  • Use project delivery metrics to measure and improve team performance
  • Conduct project post-mortems and drive continuous improvement

  • Standardize practices and consolidate tracking methods across projects
  • Contribute to the IT Project Management Office
