Jobtailor is seeking a skilled Project Manager in New Jersey to lead cross-functional healthcare IT implementations. You will drive high-impact projects, establish requirements, and ensure successful, on-time delivery within scope and budget.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years PM experience, PMI framework knowledge, and familiarity with agile approaches. Travel up to 25% and compliance with HIPAA/SOC standards are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or 7 years professional experience.
PMP Certification is preferred.
3-5 years of experience as a Project Manager.
1-3 years managing client facing healthcare IT implementation projects.
Experience in regulated industries such as financial sector may be considered.
Understanding of PMI framework.
Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum).
Ability to manage concurrent project activities across 2 business lines.
Experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet.
Ability to establish project goals and objectives, analyze complex information, develop plans, negotiate, and mentor others.
Travel to conferences, trade events, and customer locations up to 25%.
Adhere to company policies, Information Security and Compliance Programs (SOC1, SOC2, PCI, HIPAA).
Maintain compliance with company and client policies and laws.

Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional projects with medium to high complexity.
Ensure project requirements are established and met.
Ensure deliverables are completed, reviewed, and acceptable.
Complete projects on schedule, within scope and budget, and according to quality standards.
Manage two or more concurrent projects.
Develop project plans for schedules, resources, and budgets in collaboration with resource managers, finance, and executives.
Coordinate project teams to identify issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Design strategies to mitigate or avoid future risks.
Monitor and manage project quality and compliance with contracts or specifications.
Compile and distribute project information, status reports, and portfolio budget expenditures.
Improve the organization’s project management processes and standards.
Contribute to internal working groups and department initiative projects.
Mentor and train other Project Team members.
Interact with senior managers, executives, and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives.

Requirements

Understanding of the Project Management Institute (PMI) framework
Solid work knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., agile/scrum)
Ability to manage concurrent project activities across 2 business lines
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and project management tools such as MS Project or Smartsheet
Experience in project management monitoring, addressing changes in scope and budget, project resourcing, and applicable software
Ability to establish project goals and objectives, exercise sound judgment, analyze complex information, develop plans, negotiate, facilitate, identify project risks and gaps, prepare reports, communicate effectively, and mentor others
Travel to conferences, trade events, and customer locations up to 25%
Adhere to company policies, procedures, Information Security and Compliance Programs, including SOC1, SOC2, PCI, and HIPAA
Maintain compliance with company and client policies, business rules and ethics, and applicable local, state, and federal laws
