Job summary

Holmes Murphy through its CRS division Creative Risk Solutions is seeking a Sr. Liability Claims Specialist, Supervisor, to lead a high-performing team of adjusters and ensure exceptional claims handling from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; college degree preferred. Technical designations encouraged, such as AIC and CPCU.
• Licensing: Active state specific Life & Health/Property Casualty Insurance agent’s license required or ability to acquire license within three months of hire.
• Experience: 8-10 years of adjusting property and casualty claims, including litigated claims. Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adjudicate claims as needed, investigate, negotiate settlements, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Monitor claims, especially in litigation, ensuring timely responses and adherence to Best Practices for Claims.
• Research inquiries from insureds, claimants, agency partners, and carriers; meet with clients to discuss complex claims and coverage issues.
• Maintain open communication with customers and fronting carriers; assist staff with litigation management and decision-making.
• Manage timesheets, coach team members, provide performance feedback and support career development.
