Job summary

Travelers Insurance in Irvine, California is seeking a senior claims professional to manage severe liability claims, coordinate with counsel, and supervise the end-to-end investigation and resolution process. Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• 2 years of liability claim handling experience and/or comparable litigation claim experience.
• Acquisition and maintenance of Insurance License(s) may be required to comply with state requirements.
• License(s) are generally required within three months of starting the job.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred for certain roles.

Responsibilities

• Directly handles assigned severe claims.
• Provides quality customer service and ensures file quality and timely coverage analysis.
• Consults with Manager on use of Claim Coverage Counsel as needed.
• Investigates claims through contact with policyholders, claimants, and experts to determine liability and damages.
• Manages reserves and diary systems to ensure timely handling.
• Attends depositions, mediations, and other legal proceedings as needed.
• Disposes claims within delegated authority and negotiates dispositions.
• Develops litigation plans and directs counsel and experts as needed.
