You will commute to Phoenix, Arizona, with a shift schedule Sunday-Thursday 11PM-7:30AM and onboarding training onsite for six weeks. The position offers a hybrid schedule after probation and a competitive hourly rate with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in English/Journalism or 1 year of legal experience preferred
• Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style, AP Style, The Blue Book and California Style Manual
• Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and other core applications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with expert-level English grammar and punctuation

Responsibilities

• Proofread complex legal documents to ensure spelling, grammar, punctuation and style accuracy
• Compare documents word-for-word against originals to ensure accurate conversion
• Review cross-references, defined terms, and Table of Authorities for accuracy
• Check handwritten revisions and electronic redlines against drafts to ensure all corrections are made
• Ensure document content is accurate, clear, complete, and logically organized
• Use proofreading marks to note corrections and follow established policies
