Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws required with admission to practice in SA.
• Experience in energy sector and project finance preferred.
• Strong analytical, drafting and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on energy law, regulations, and policy matters relevant to the renewable energy sector.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, including PPAs, EPC contracts, and O&M agreements.
• Advise on regulatory compliance, licensing, and permitting requirements for energy projects.
• Conduct legal due diligence for new projects and investments.
• Manage and resolve legal disputes and claims arising from project development and operations.
• Stay abreast of changes in energy legislation and provide proactive advice on their impact.
• Assist with corporate matters, including company formation and compliance.
• Liaise with external legal counsel, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
