Qualifications
- Admitted Attorney with environmental law specialization.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant legal experience.
- Strong knowledge of SA environmental legislation (NEMA, EIA, water law).
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on environmental legislation and regulations.
- Review EIAs and Environmental Management Plans (EMPs).
- Advise clients on compliance related to pollution control, waste, and water use.
- Assist clients in obtaining environmental permits and licenses.
- Represent clients in environmental disputes and proceedings.
- Develop and implement environmental compliance strategies.
- Stay updated on changes in environmental law and policy.
- Conduct legal due diligence for projects and transactions involving the environment.
- Advise on biodiversity conservation and protected area management.
