Job summary

eBay is seeking a Sr. People Technology Analyst to own the learning technology experience, centered on Workday Learning. You will partner with Talent Development, IT, and other teams to translate needs into scalable tech solutions and improve how employees access learning resources.

The role is hybrid near Salt Lake City, requiring 3 onsite days per week and flexibility for global collaboration. Candidates should bring 3–5 years of HR tech and Workday Experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in HR/IS/Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years in hands-on HR tech, learning tech, HRIS, or related roles.
• 3 years of Workday configuration, incl. Workday Learning campaigns, audiences, messages, courses, ILT, and remote learning.
• Up-to-date on AI trends in HR tech and relevance to eBays people tech ecosystem.
• Strong ability to translate business needs into requirements, user stories, and scalable tech solutions.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams across People, IT, and vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; data-driven decision making.
• Experience using data and feedback to prioritize improvements and measure impact.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment; strong prioritization skills.
• Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance related to employee data.

Responsibilities

• Act as a product-focused tech collaborator for eBay's learning ecosystem, with Workday Learning at the center.
• Contribute to roadmap development for learning technology improvements balancing priorities.
• Partner with Talent Success, federated Learning teams, Talent Operations, IT, and others to define requirements.
• Convert business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and process flows.
• Direct configuration, testing, deployment and refinement of Workday Learning tools (campaigns, audiences, courses, ILT, remote learning).
• Evaluate when to configure Workday, integrate external tools, or leverage AI-enabled capabilities.
• Find opportunities to use AI and automation to personalize learning and improve content discoverability.
• Use data, feedback, and metrics to identify friction points and drive improvements.
• Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and insights for learning operations and compliance.
• Provide production support and issue resolution; identify root causes and scalable improvements.
• Support change management, communications, training, and adoption for new capabilities.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors on integrations and data flows; maintain governance.
• Maintain documentation: requirements, maps, test scripts, release notes, and support materials.
• Participate in audits, SOX cycles, and privacy reviews as needed.
• Stay current on Workday, learning tech trends, AI, and HR tech relevance.
