Job summary

eBay is seeking a product-minded People Technology Analyst to expand its payroll and Workday ecosystem. You will partner across Global Payroll, People Operations, Finance, and IT to translate business needs into scalable technology solutions enhancing payroll operations and data quality.

This role emphasizes Workday integrations, middleware, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities, aligning with an enterprise-wide payroll strategy. Hybrid work at Salt Lake City or Austin offices.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands‑on HRIS, payroll technology, enterprise applications, or related experience.
• 3+ years of experience supporting Workday HCM, including payroll processes, integrations, or configuration.
• Experience partnering with payroll vendors and multi‑functional technology teams to deliver integration improvements.
• Solid understanding of payroll processes, employee master data, and HR/Payroll integrations.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating them into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, APIs, middleware, Workday Studio, and EIB or similar technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to pinpoint root causes and propose scalable improvements.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced global environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as a product-focused technology collaborator for eBay's People and Payroll ecosystem, with Workday HCM as the system of record.
• Contribute to the payroll technology roadmap by balancing priorities, UX, compliance, and feasibility.
• Collaborate with Global Payroll, People Ops, Finance, IT, Security, and vendors to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
• Lead initiatives supporting payroll processes including vendor integrations and data interfaces.
