Job summary

eBay seeks a product-minded People Technology Analyst to expand the payroll technology ecosystem, partnering with Global Payroll, People Operations, Finance, IT, and external vendors. Core scope includes Workday integration, middleware, workflow automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and reporting to improve payroll operations and employee experience.

The role is hybrid, requiring onsite presence three days per week at Salt Lake City or Austin offices, with flexible hours for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in information systems, CS, HR or related field.
• 3–5 years hands-on HRIS/payroll technology or similar.
• 3+ years supporting Workday HCM incl. payroll processes, integrations, config.
• Experience partnering with payroll vendors and tech teams.
• Understanding of payroll processes, master data & integrations.
• Ability to translate business needs into scalable tech.
• Experience with enterprise integrations and Workday tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Awareness of payroll regulations and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Act as product-focused technologist for eBay People and Payroll ecosystem, Workday as system of record.
• Help define payroll tech roadmap balancing business needs with compliance and UX.
• Collaborate with Global Payroll, People Operations, Finance, IT and vendors to build scalable solutions.
• Lead initiatives enabling vendor integrations, API data interfaces, and time/attendance links.
