Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) seeks an instructional designer to collaborate with departmental and business resources to understand performance gaps and learning needs. The role manages curricula projects, including design strategy and needs analysis for adult learning solutions across instructor-led, web-based, and blended formats.

The position requires advancing design with multiple modalities, mentoring teammates, and coordinating communications, curricula readiness, and outcome

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree plus 4 years of instructional design and/or development OR 8 years in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, or Instructional Design
• Proven experience leading small to mid-sized learning design/development projects
• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple modalities in instructional design
• Communicate effectively in visual, verbal and written form
• Demonstrated ability in mentoring and coaching
• Technical aptitude and analytical skill set
• Sound inductive and deductive reasoning
• Analyze information and evaluate results to identify appropriate solutions
• Overcome obstacles by developing solutions to meet individual and departmental goals
• Proven ability to work with multiple internal and external customers, senior management, subject matter experts

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with departmental and business resources to understand business performance gaps and learning needs.
• Manage curricula project initiatives, including design strategy, detailed needs analysis, and designing and developing relevant adult learning solutions for the business.
• Coordinate communication plans, curriculum maintenance plans and project management activities, establish curricula readiness, and evaluate learning outcomes.
