Job summary

HCSC is seeking an instructional designer to develop adult learning solutions across instructor-led, web-based, and blended formats. You will manage curricula projects, design strategy, and analysis to close performance gaps, partnering with various stakeholders.

This hybrid role integrates collaboration with business resources and ensures curriculum readiness for impactful outcomes. Required: a Bachelor's in HRD/OD/ID (or equivalent) with 4 years of experience, or 8 years in related fields;

• Proven experience leading small to mid-sized learning design/development projects.
• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple modalities in instructional design.

• Technical aptitude and analytical skills.
• Strong inductive/deductive reasoning.
• Ability to analyze information and evaluate results to identify solutions.
• Experience working with multiple internal and external customers and senior management.

Responsibilities

• Lead curricula project initiatives including design strategy, needs analysis, and development of adult learning solutions (ILT, e-learning, and blended).
• Coordinate communication plans, curriculum maintenance, and project management activities; ensure curricula readiness.

Collaboration with departmental and business resources to understand business performance gaps and learning needs. Accountable for managing overall curricula project initiatives, including the creation of design strategy, detailed needs analysis, and designing and developing relevant adult learning solutions for the business. The scope includes instructional design and development for instructor-led, web-based, and blended solutions. Responsible for the coordination of communication plans, curriculum maintenance plans and project management activities, establish curricula readiness, and the evaluation of learning and business outcomes.

Required Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, Instructional Design or related field plus 4 years of experience in instructional design and/or development OR 8 years of experience in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development, or Instructional Design
• Proven experience leading small to mid-sized learning design/development projects
• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple modalities in instructional design
• Communicate effectively in visual, verbal and written form
• Demonstrated ability in mentoring and coaching
• Technical aptitude and analytical skill set
• Sound inductive and deductive reasoning
• Analyze information and evaluate results to identify appropriate solutions
• Overcome obstacles by developing solutions to meet individual and departmental goals
• Proven ability to work with multiple internal and external customers, senior management, subject matter experts

Preferred Job Qualifications:

• Master Degree in Human Resource Development, Organizational Development or Instructional Design
• Advanced knowledge regarding adult learning theories and/or emerging instructional design trends in the industry
• Familiarity with Learning & Talent Management Systems
• 5 years learning and development experience in a corporate or business setting
• Experience working in a collaborative, matrixed reporting structure
• Appropriate licensing, as needed, per business area
• Project Management experience

This is a Flex (Hybrid) role: 3 days in office: 2 days remote.

Compensation: $61,500.00 - $136,100.00
