Job summary

Boundless Learning is seeking a Senior Manager, Learning Design to lead Learning Design Services across higher education and corporate clients. You will guide strategy, standards, and delivery, building a high-performing team and shaping scalable, learner-centered solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in learning design, instructional design, curriculum development, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience leading and developing learning design teams.
• Deep expertise in learning design, curriculum development, adult learning, and learner-centered design.
• Experience working directly with clients, academic institutions, faculty, or external partners.
• Experience supporting solution development, RFPs/proposals, client presentations, or POCs.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate needs into effective, scalable learning solutions.
• Knowledge of learning technologies, LMS platforms, and industry-standard authoring tools; experience with AI-enabled learning design tools preferred.
• Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel as required, up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Set priorities, standards, and expectations for the Learning Design Services function.
• Lead, coach, and develop Lead Learning Designers and Learning Designers, including performance management and professional development.
• Build a high-performing, collaborative team focused on quality, delivery, and impact.
• Ensure the team has tools, resources, training, and support needed to succeed.
• Lead recruitment and onboarding of learning design talent as needed.
• Translate institutional, business, and learner needs into effective learning strategies, curriculum frameworks, and development plans.
• Establish and maintain standards for learning design quality, accessibility, consistency, and learner experience.
• Guide the application of instructional design, curriculum, adult learning, and learner-centered practices.
• Maintain a portfolio of LDS solutions that demonstrates quality and value to partners.
• Oversee LDS capacity, workload, prioritization, and resource allocation across active initiatives.
• Ensure work is scoped, staffed, delivered within timelines and budgets; manage program budgets and commitments.
• Drive scalable, efficient delivery practices across LDS.
• Evaluate delivery models and resource strategies to meet current and future demand.
• Identify opportunities to enhance LDS solutions, capabilities, and delivery models.
