Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Richmond, VA is seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive Lean transformation across manufacturing and logistics, co-owning strategy and executing site initiatives. You will coach lean capabilities, design efficient processes, and develop reports to show ROI.

Qualifications include a four-year Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering degree, 3–7 years CI experience, CAD & ERP proficiency, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering required.
• 3–7 years of Continuous Improvement experience.
• 2+ years of Project Management experience.
• Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Hands-on TPS/Lean fundamentals coaching (5S, Kaizen, VSM, Poka‑Yoke).
• Cross-functional experience in Operations/Material Flow/SCM/Prod. Dev.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy SQDIP visual management boards and standard routines.
• Coach and build capabilities on the 0DOVER OPEX model.
• Conduct OPEX audits and certification planning.
• Lead Kaizen and rapid improvement events; map value streams and solve problems.
• Analyze production processes, schedules and costs; provide management with reports.
• Develop SW for production plans, takt planning and PFMEAs; design workstations.
• Implement one-piece flow, JIT, and lean manufacturing strategies.
• Build and maintain KPI dashboards (Power BI) to prioritize projects.
