Job summary

Dover Food Retail in Chester, VA is seeking a Senior Continuous Improvement Engineer to drive Lean initiatives and implement SQDIP across operations. You will co-own the OPEX strategy, coach teams in Lean methods, and lead Kaizen events to improve manufacturing and logistics processes.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 3–7 years of Continuous Improvement experience.
• 2+ years Project Management experience.
• Working knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma principles.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
• Cross-functional experience in Operations / Material Flow / Supply Chain.

Responsibilities

• Deploy SQDIP visual management boards and standard management routines across all organizational levels.
• Champion the 0Dover OPEX Model and embed Lean principles into daily operations.
• Lead high-impact Kaizen and rapid improvement events with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze production processes and provide reports for future requirements and ROI.
• Develop SW for production plans, takt planning, PFMEAs and Control Plans; manage line design and equipment selection.
