Job summary

Devon in Oklahoma City seeks a Sr. Learning & Development Professional to lead the design and delivery of leadership and professional development programs.

You will partner with senior leaders to close skill gaps, implement targeted solutions, and build leadership capability across the organization. You will collaborate with HR and subject matter experts to advance the leadership and talent development strategy, driving organizational growth and leadership succession planning on-site in Oklahoma

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years designing and delivering leadership development programs across multiple leadership levels.
• Knowledge of leadership frameworks (situational leadership, coaching models, emotional intelligence).
• Experience with talent management processes including progression planning and high-potential development.
• Strong consulting and influencing skills to guide senior leaders.
• Experience using learning data, metrics and dashboards to drive decisions and demonstrate impact.
• Experience leading cross-functional or enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Change management certification preferred (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR).
• Coaching certification preferred (e.g., ICF).
• Professional L&D certifications preferred (e.g., ATD, CIPD, Birkman, FranklinCovey, CCL).
• Oil & gas industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and facilitate leadership experiences such as cohort-based programs, action learning, and coaching interventions.
• Partner with senior leadership to identify and build leadership pipelines and high-potential talent development strategies.
• Integrate leadership development with talent processes (performance management, progression planning, employee engagement).
• Leverage data and analytics to measure program effectiveness, leadership bench strength, and ROI of development initiatives.
• Lead and support change management initiatives, ensuring leaders are equipped to drive organizational transformation.
• Develop and maintain a leadership competency model aligned with business strategy.
• Coach leaders and managers to enhance individual and team effectiveness.
• Develop a strong understanding of the company’s organizational structure, culture, and objectives to implement best practices aligned with goals.
