Job summary

New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene invites applications for Deputy Director of Intervention Quality Initiatives Unit in the Bureau of Early Intervention. The role leads the IQI Team, develops trainings, reviews research, and prepares reports and procurement scoping with EI Administration.

The position focuses on health equity, service quality, and workforce capacity, incorporating data analysis and collaboration with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed or certified in one of the listed fields with a master’s degree.
• Proven supervisory experience is required.
• Knowledge of typical early childhood development for birth to three years.
• Familiarity with NYC EI Program regulations and NYS DOHBEI competencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of adult learning principles.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate team efforts.
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Intervention Quality Initiatives (IQI) Team.
• Create and deliver professional development materials and trainings.
• Review and summarize research and literature.
• Create, edit, and review content for reports and presentations; engage with partners.
• Write reports, summaries, policies, and procedures; summarize data findings.
• Develop scopes for contracts and manage procurement with EI Administration.
• Coordinate data collection and reporting for IQI projects; write analyses.
