Job summary

New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health Department) seeks an Outreach Assistant Director for the Bureau of Early Intervention. The role focuses on supervising Outreach Associates, building partnerships with providers, and coordinating outreach events to raise awareness of developmental screening and EI services.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of early childhood development birth to age three.
• Familiarity with NYC EI program policies and service landscape.
• Strong verbal communication skills are required.
• Excellent written communication abilities are essential.
• Highly organized with multitasking capability.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Oversee outreach unit and supervise three Outreach Associates.
• Develop relationships with childcare, healthcare, and community partners to identify outreach opportunities.
• Attend monthly community partnership meetings to maintain presence.
• Produce reports on outreach activities for leadership.
• Coordinate outreach events and assist with data collection for reporting.
