Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group in Fountain Valley, CA, seeks a Senior Manager to lead Genesis Systems Quality Engineering. You will direct cross-functional system engineering across models, validate complaints, and develop countermeasures with Hyundai Motor Company to improve customer satisfaction.

The role focuses on leading a high-impact team, coordinating TCQ initiatives, and ensuring timely Technical Service Bulletins and launch quality monitoring across Genesis platforms.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of professional experience.
• Five or more years of Automotive Retail and Wholesale experience preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Thorough automotive technical knowledge required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong analytical/problem solving ability.
• Strong data management/general and statistical analysis/reporting
• Individual must be well organized yet flexible to accomplish objectives that are often subject to change.
• Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision and direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Genesis Systems Quality Engineering team, integrating system engineering across models.
• Validate product complaints and recalls; report systemic problems.
• Develop countermeasures for field repairs and production with HMC.
• Distribute Technical Service Bulletins including Recall Campaigns.
• Support Launch Quality Monitoring Process.
• Conduct Labor Time Study on new models to ensure fair repair times.
• Coach and develop staff; manage staffing and performance reviews.
• Approve staff expense reports.
• Oversee development of field repair solutions and production changes.
