Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the Consumer & Community Banking - Digital Technology team in Columbus, OH. You will drive AI-enabled development, define scalable architectures, and ensure secure, robust production software across multiple platforms.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, establish development standards, and mentor engineers while shaping enterprise-scale technology solutions for trusted customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Expert in one or more programming language(s).
• Demonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices across teams, including human-in-the-loop validation and secure handling of data.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design frameworks.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Architects and governs agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale, with guardrails for security and resiliency.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to enhance automation.
• Advises cross-functional teams on technological matters within your domain.
• Serves as the function’s go-to subject matter expert.
• Contributes to development of technical methods in line with latest product development methodologies.
• Creates durable, reusable software frameworks leveraged across teams.
