Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer within the Chief Technology Organization in Columbus to drive secure, scalable technology products. You will lead technical work across teams, review code, and advance AI-assisted development practices to improve quality and delivery speed.

The role requires strong Java, cloud, and SDLC fluency, plus experience in financial services environments. You will help shape architecture and collaborate with stakeholders globally.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience ( NAMR/APAC – India/ LATAM/ Hong Kong)
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Advanced in Java
• AWS with production experience
• Experience leading AI-assisted development tools
• Understanding of secure coding and resiliency requirements

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools to improve automation and value
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve stability
• Leads evaluation sessions to probe architectural designs and applicability within existing systems
