Job summary

FIS in the United States is seeking a senior software architect to lead the design and implementation of enterprise agentic engineering capabilities that scale the software development lifecycle. You will establish architectures, coding harnesses and reusable libraries to accelerate reliable AI-assisted engineering.

Qualifications

• Expert software engineering skills across application architecture, integration, testing and production operations.
• Advanced proficiency with Python, TypeScript or comparable languages used for platform development.
• Experience leading complex software initiatives involving multiple systems, teams and stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated success building developer platforms, coding frameworks, automation systems or reusable libraries.
• Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, distributed systems, APIs, security and software reliability.

• Design secure Model Context Protocol servers and integration frameworks for enterprise tools and data.
• Define standards for evaluating, testing, monitoring and governing AI-generated software.
• Guide teams building scalable solutions with Python, TypeScript and cloud-native technologies.
• Resolve complex architecture, integration, debugging, performance and reliability challenges.
• Shape technical roadmaps that align platform investments with engineering and business priorities.
• Lead code and design reviews to improve quality, maintainability, security and operational readiness.
• Partner with implementation and client-facing teams to diagnose needs and deliver effective solutions.
• Mentor engineers and communicate technical practices across teams and organizational boundaries.

About the Role

You will lead the design and implementation of advanced agentic engineering capabilities that scale the enterprise software development lifecycle. You will establish architectures, coding harnesses and reusable libraries that enable coding agents to work effectively across complex development environments. You will guide technical decisions, coordinate cross-functional delivery and help teams adopt reliable AI-assisted engineering practices. Success means creating durable platform capabilities, resolving undefined technical challenges and accelerating responsible software delivery.

What you will need

• Demonstrated success building developer platforms, coding frameworks, automation systems or reusable libraries.
• Deep knowledge of cloud architecture, distributed systems, APIs, security and software reliability.
• Ability to define technical standards and influence decisions without relying on direct authority.
• Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Added bonus if you have

• Advanced experience with agentic programming, coding agents or large language model application architecture.
• Experience developing Model Context Protocol servers, tools, registries or governance patterns.
• Knowledge of Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode or comparable AI engineering tools.
• Experience establishing evaluation, observability and safety controls for enterprise AI workflows.
• Client-facing engineering experience spanning implementation, technical discovery and complex troubleshooting.
• Experience contributing to long-term technology strategy or enterprise engineering standards.
