Job summary

FIS is seeking a senior software engineering leader to drive an agentic AI platform initiative within enterprise software development. You will mentor engineers, set priorities, and guide architecture of scalable workflows and developer tools.

The role partners with product, implementation, and client teams to accelerate adoption and production readiness. You will oversee delivery primarily with Python, TypeScript, and cloud technologies, ensuring security, quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience leading or mentoring software engineers in an agile product or platform environment.
• Strong knowledge across architecture, development, testing, integration and production support.
• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript or similar languages.
• Experience delivering developer tools, automation frameworks, and reusable libraries.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, APIs, distributed systems, and reliability practices.
• Ability to manage complex priorities and resources.
• Strong stakeholder communication and planning skills.
• Degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Establish team priorities, delivery plans and success measures aligned with enterprise technology objectives.
• Guide the architecture of scalable agentic workflows, coding harnesses, reusable libraries and developer platforms.
• Oversee solutions developed primarily with Python, TypeScript, cloud technologies and Model Context Protocol integrations.
• Ensure coding agents and automated workflows meet security, quality, reliability and maintainability standards.
• Foster disciplined engineering practices, including design reviews, code reviews, automated testing and production readiness.
• Allocate team capacity across platform development, implementation support, technical consultation and continuous improvement.
• Lead engineers who partner directly with FIS product, engineering and implementation teams to solve complex technical challenges and accelerate solution deployment.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate engineering and client needs into clear technical priorities and delivery plans.
• Monitor delivery risks, dependencies, operational performance and resource needs across concurrent initiatives.
• Build an inclusive, collaborative culture that supports learning, accountability, innovation and engineering excellence.

About the Role

You will lead a software engineering team building agentic artificial intelligence platforms that improve the enterprise software development lifecycle. You will guide the delivery of coding agents, developer harnesses, reusable libraries, Model Context Protocol integrations and automated workflows. In addition to platform development, you will lead engineers who partner directly with internal FIS engineering and implementation teams to accelerate adoption, deployment and operational success. You will balance people leadership, technical direction and operational execution while partnering with engineering, product, implementation and client-facing teams.

What You Will Need:

• Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring software engineers within an agile product or platform environment.
• Strong software engineering knowledge across architecture, development, testing, integration and production support.
• Proficiency with Python, TypeScript or comparable languages used to build modern software platforms.
• Experience delivering developer tools, automation frameworks, reusable libraries, workflow systems or integration platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture, application programming interfaces, distributed systems and software reliability practices.
• Ability to manage complex priorities, delivery dependencies and resource allocation across multiple initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder communication skills, including technical planning, expectation management and issue resolution.
• Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Added Bonus if You Have:

• Experience leading teams building agentic artificial intelligence applications, coding agents or developer productivity platforms.
• Knowledge of Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode or comparable artificial intelligence coding environments.
• Experience developing Model Context Protocol servers, tools, integrations or governance standards.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence evaluation, observability, security, safety and responsible use practices.
• Experience supporting client implementations, technical discovery, solution delivery or complex troubleshooting.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, project budgets or defined technology investment plans.
