Job summary

FIS is seeking an engineer to design scalable agentic software that helps enterprise teams plan, code, test and operate software. You will create coding harnesses, reusable libraries and automated workflows that connect coding agents with business systems.

You will influence architecture, mentor engineers, and ensure security, reliability and maintainability. Proficiency in Python and TypeScript, cloud familiarity, and experience with AI-assisted development are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud architecture, deployment, monitoring, and production support.

• Degree in computer science, engineering or related field.

• Forecast delivery needs and coordinate complex development activities across stakeholders.
• Lead technical troubleshooting during implementation and integration.
• Produce documentation for architectures, interfaces, configurations and procedures.
• Mentor engineers on agentic programming and software engineering practices.

About the Role

You will design sophisticated agentic software solutions that improve how enterprise engineering teams plan, build, test and operate software. You will create coding harnesses, reusable libraries and automated workflows that connect coding agents with development tools and business systems. You will influence architectural decisions while partnering with engineering, implementation and client-facing stakeholders. Success means delivering scalable solutions, improving development efficiency and establishing reliable patterns for AI-assisted engineering.

What You Will Be Doing

• Design scalable agentic workflows across planning, coding, testing, deployment and software maintenance.

• Build advanced coding harnesses, libraries and integrations using Python and TypeScript.

• Develop Model Context Protocol servers and tools that securely connect agents with enterprise systems.

• Establish evaluation, testing and monitoring approaches for AI-generated code and automated workflows.

• Translate complex client and engineering requirements into reliable, maintainable software designs.

• Contribute to architecture decisions involving scalability, security, extensibility and long-term support.

• Forecast delivery needs and coordinate complex development activities across multiple stakeholders.

• Lead technical troubleshooting during software implementation and integration.

• Produce clear documentation for architectures, interfaces, configurations and operational procedures.

• Mentor engineers on agentic programming, code quality, testing and software engineering practices.

What you will need

• Advanced software engineering skills using Python, TypeScript or comparable programming languages.

• Experience designing distributed applications, APIs, developer platforms or workflow automation systems.

• Demonstrated ability to build reusable libraries, coding frameworks or extensible integration components.

• Experience with cloud architecture, deployment, monitoring, maintenance and production support.

• Strong knowledge of automated testing, secure coding, code review and software quality practices.

• Ability to solve complex technical problems with minimal supervision and communicate across functions.

• Degree in computer science, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Added bonus if you have

• Experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenCode or comparable AI coding environments.

• Experience developing agentic applications, coding agents or Model Context Protocol integrations.

• Knowledge of large language model evaluation, prompt design, tool calling and workflow observability.

• Experience delivering technical implementations or troubleshooting solutions directly with clients.

• Familiarity with security, privacy and compliance controls for enterprise AI systems.
