Job summary

CGS Federal seeks a Senior Lead Network Engineer to evaluate and enhance a large-scale government network infrastructure, covering wired and wireless domains. You will design, implement, and test the network with security patches, and collaborate with government staff, vendors, and SMEs to ensure robust performance.

You will oversee vulnerability assessments, quality assurance, and ongoing optimization, while mentoring staff and producing clear technical documentation for ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, CS, Business, IS or related discipline.
• Strong documentation skills with JIRA, Wiki Pages, and diagrams.
• Experience with RF site surveys and network troubleshooting.
• CWNA/BCNE or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of layer-2/3 networking, security, and testing.
• Experience with disaster recovery and vulnerability testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the NPS network infrastructure and monitoring.
• Design, implement, and test new network solutions for the project.
• Provide training and guidance to NPS staff on best practices.
• Maintain documentation and architecture diagrams for networks.
