Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) seeks a Senior Lead Network Engineer to join a team focused on evaluating, enhancing, and maintaining a large-scale wired and wireless network project. You will design and implement a comprehensive infrastructure and consult on hardware/software to support testing, vulnerability assessments, and QA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science/information systems or related field.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• CWNA or BCNE certifications or equivalent.
• Experience with RF site surveys and packet capture tools.
• Proficient with VLANs, OSPF, VRRP, and 802.1x/RADIUS/CA.
• Experience across Linux/Windows/VMware environments.
• 3+ years in disaster recovery planning or testing; cybersecurity assessment experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and manage the NPS network infrastructure daily.
• Improve monitoring/reporting using network management software.
• Develop and maintain network documentation and diagrams.
• Review practices and advise on architecture, design, and operation.
• Onboard and monitor Wireless via Cloudpath or equivalent; manage health and patching.
• Assess infrastructure and propose optimization opportunities.
• Define testing procedures for new infrastructure projects.
• Implement network solutions within NPS projects; provide design guidance.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to NPS resources.
