Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Senior Materials & Processes Engineer (Additive Manufacturing) to lead metal AM efforts in our Seattle area labs. You will develop and qualify AM processes for high‑performance alloys, mentor a team, and drive data‑driven improvements across design, manufacturing, and quality functions.

You will collaborate with design and production to implement robust AM solutions, while advancing materials characterization, process control, and production readiness for spaceflight

Qualifications

• 7+ years of metallic additive manufacturing experience.
• BS in materials science/engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Experience leading AM process development and qualification campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional AM M&P efforts for metals and hardware.
• Develop AM processes, parameters, and specs for nickel, aluminum, and copper alloys.
• Design and execute material property tests and analyze results.
