Plan B Climatech is seeking a Senior Lead Mechanical Engineer to lead design on mission-critical data center projects, embracing a remote role across the United States. You will own full-cycle mechanical design, mentor teams, and serve as a key technical contact for clients.

The role requires 13+ years of mechanical engineering experience, a PE (preferred), and strong AutoCAD/Revit, load calculations and energy modeling skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• 13+ years of mechanical engineering experience in mission critical / data center projects.
• Strong AutoCAD/Revit, load calculations and energy modeling experience.
• Experience leading project teams and managing client relationships.
• Able to work independently in a remote setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design, load calculations, energy modeling for complex mission-critical projects.
• Prepare and review specifications, drawings (AutoCAD/Revit) and construction documents.
• Manage project design teams, budgets, and schedules.
• Serve as primary client contact, including business development touchpoints.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to team development and standards.
