Job summary

Plan B Climatech, a leading engineering consultancy, seeks an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design of electrical distribution and infrastructure for large-scale, mission-critical facilities, with a focus on data centers. This is a fully remote position open to candidates across the United States.

You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with clients and contractors, and ensure NEC and Life Safety compliance from concept through construction closeout.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience on large-scale or mission-critical projects.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, grounding, lighting, and life safety.
• Hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit for construction documents.
• Working knowledge of NEC/Life Safety Code and energy codes.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with solid communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, standby power, grounding, lighting, and life safety.
• Direct the production of construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Perform short-circuit coordination studies, arc flash analyses, and load calculations.
• Ensure designs comply with NEC, Life Safety Code, and energy codes.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team training.
• Act as primary technical contact for clients and consultants.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, and support construction-phase problem solving.
• Travel occasionally for site visits and client meetings.
