Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. seeks a Lead Electrical Engineer to design solar PV systems, oversee the electrical engineering of projects, and lead a team across multiple sites. You will coordinate with service leaders and the Director of Electrical Engineering to uphold firm standards and drive project success.

The role requires supervising engineers, managing budgets, responding to RFPs, and communicating with clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Engineering program.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for commercial and utility-scale solar projects and manage design budget.
• Coordinate electrical engineering scope with project managers and other disciplines.
• Produce construction documents and serve as primary electrical client contact.
• Supervise staff and coordinate resources for multiple projects.
• QA/QC of electrical design and ensure schedules are met.
• Respond to RFPs with scope and fees for electrical engineering.
• Support marketing efforts and preparation of proposals.
• Mentor graduate engineers and design technicians.
