Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Lead Distribution Engineer to provide technical leadership in its Distribution group. The role involves supervising a subset of the team, reviewing designs for regulatory compliance, and mentoring staff while coordinating tasks to maximize utilization.

Based in multiple US locations including Las Vegas, NV, the position requires travel and interaction with clients and regulatory bodies. A BS Engineering degree with 6+ years of experience is expected.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering Degree and 6+ years of distribution engineering experience.
• Knowledge of NESC and other applicable codes and standards.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and operate client provided programs and systems.
• Proven history of successfully attaining results in a production environment.
• Ability to travel up to 20-25% of the time to client sites for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to all members of the Distribution group.
• Support the Design Engineering Manager by handling supervisory tasks for a subset of the team.
• Coordinate task assignments to maximize staff utilization.
• Review designs to ensure compliance with client, industry, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure design products meet quality and consistency expectations.
• Communicate with internal, client, and regulatory counterparts.
• Maintain production in a changing environment.
• Identify and promote training opportunities.
• Provide support to recruiting including interviews and college career fairs.
