Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Lead Distribution Engineer to provide technical leadership for our Distribution group. The role may be based in multiple US locations including Las Vegas, NV, and involves supervising a subset of the team, guiding design efforts, and ensuring regulatory compliance across projects.

The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering with 6+ years in distribution engineering, strong NESC knowledge, and proven ability to deliver results in production environments.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering Degree and 6+ years of distribution engineering experience.
• Knowledge of NESC and other applicable codes and standards.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and operate client provided programs and systems.
• Proven history of successfully attaining results in a production environment.
• Ability to travel up to 20-25% of the time to client sites for project and/or meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to Distribution group.
• Support the Design Engineering Manager by handling supervisory/management tasks for a subset of the team.
• Identify and resolve problems efficiently.
• Mentor and manage workloads for assigned team members.
• Coordinate task assignments to maximize staff utilization.
• Review designs for compliance with client, industry, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure design products meet quality and consistency expectations.
• Communicate with internal, client, and regulatory counterparts.
• Maintain production in a changing environment.
• Identify and promote training opportunities.
• Support recruiting including interviews and college career fairs.
