Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Lead Distribution Engineer to provide technical leadership within the Distribution group. The role is based in multiple locations across the U.S., with primary responsibilities including guiding design and review, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Engineering with 6+ years of distribution experience, strong NESC knowledge, and proven mentorship capabilities. Travel to client sites is expected, and the team collaborates across offices.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering Degree with 6+ years of distribution engineering experience.
• Knowledge of NESC and other applicable codes and standards.
• Strong computer and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and operate client provided programs and systems.
• Ability to travel up to 20-25% of the time to client sites for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Distribution group.
• Support the Design Engineering Manager with supervisory tasks for a subset of the team.
• Identify problems and drive resolution.
• Mentor team members and manage workloads.
• Coordinate task assignments to maximize staff utilization.
• Review designs for compliance with client, industry, and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate with internal, client, and regulatory counterparts.
