Qualus is seeking a Senior Distribution Engineer in Brandon, FL to lead electrical distribution projects and mentor junior staff. You will develop designs using Pole Foreman, Maximo, DDS, AutoCAD, and related tools, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited Engineering degree, Electrical/Mechanical/Civil or related field.
8+ years of experience in electric utility distribution engineering and design.
Experience designing and supporting overhead and underground distribution systems.
Knowledge of utility distribution standards, NESC, and construction practices.
Proficiency with utility design and work management software including the listed tools.
Strong communication and client relationship management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and engineering expertise for overhead and underground electrical distribution system projects.
Apply client standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements to design and execution of distribution projects.
Support project execution by managing assignments, monitoring performance, and maintaining client relationships.
Develop and oversee engineering design packages using client-specific software and design tools.
Perform QA/QC reviews of engineering and design deliverables for accuracy and compliance.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
