Job summary

Reserv is seeking a Commercial Auto Excess Casualty Team Lead to direct a team of specialists handling high-severity auto excess claims. You will drive technical excellence, data-driven decision making, and efficient workflows in a remote-first environment, collaborating with product, engineering, and underwriting to optimize claims outcomes.

The role requires deep casualty expertise, strong leadership, and a passion for leveraging analytics and automation to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in commercial auto liability or casualty claims, including high-severity or excess layers
• Leadership experience in carrier/TPA/MGA environments
• Strong coverage analysis, litigation management, and injury evaluation expertise
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with internal teams and external partners
• Willingness to obtain any required licenses within 60 days

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Commercial Auto Excess Casualty Claim Specialists
• Foster technical excellence, continuous improvement, and data-driven decisions
• Coach on coverage analysis, litigation strategy, and high-severity claim evaluation
• Oversee complex excess casualty claims for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
• Partner with Product and Engineering to refine automation tools and adjuster workflows
• Monitor KPIs such as cycle time, accuracy, severity trends, and customer satisfaction
• Collaborate with MGAs, carriers, brokers, and internal stakeholders
• Support onboarding of new programs aligning with standards and client expectations
• Guide adjusters on litigation strategy and complex coverage issues
• Approve high-value settlements and ensure regulatory compliance
